Six Gun Red

Characters and Stories Westerns on the Rise

Scaldcrow Games wanted to make a showcase for fifteen golden age, or otherwise unknown or little known characters that had been previously published. It was meant to be a nod to those western elements that had come before. Like many ideas that are dreamt up in the SG think-tank…it evolved. You see we wanted to offer an even greater western experience. We had a handful of stories that we wanted to include as part if the initial series of

three books, but felt they would be mismatched in the rule book, but as part of a volume meant to spotlight what westerns were and what they could be, we felt that we found the perfect match.

Six Gun Red offers 15 characters for use with the Worlds of Pulp and Wild West Horse Opera, but it also includes six stories in a western Anthology. We are immensely proud of the stories and this incredible line-up of authors: Ron Fortier, Gina S. Farago, Davey Beauchamp, Drew Meyer, Nicholas Ahlhelm, and Myself. These stories aren’t just good…they are what westerns are all about. There are a couple with supernatural elements, which are equally sure to thrill.

The characters that are converted in this book were done so, faithfully according to the stories in which they originally appeared.

One that we are very excited to spotlight is Lobo (from Dell), the titular character of his own comic; it was the first comic to headline a black character. The comic met with considerable resistance from comic stands whom didn’t think it would sell. A couple of issues had already been written, and yeah…they were really good.

Six Gun Red: Characters and Stories is currently in editing, but will be coming to you soon. This is the third book of the original three.
