For Your Convenience Crows
This is a quick reference table to speed up game play in the Scaldcrow Games: Worlds of Pulp ™ systems.
Using this table: Roll 2d6, if the result are doubles, then roll again and add to the total (Snake Eyes-double 1s always fails and kills the roll), add or subtract all modifiers (as required by the situation). Compare the modified roll against the rank and cross index to determine successes. Example: A Core Ability may be listed r10(+8) which means that you roll 2d6 and add 8 to the result. Let’s try. I roll 2d6, resulting in a 3. Since I add 8, the roll would be 11. If I cross index r10 with a roll of 11, I get 5 successes. Of course there are many situations that may modify an Ability Test.
For categorical results. add the category number, multiplied by 10 to the result (so long as it is category 2 or higher). Categorical damage ans ability tests are discussed in greater detail in the rules section of each book and the Core Rules.
It is unnecessary to use this tale to determine successes, but it is faster and easier. Anything that speeds up any aspect of a game is a welcome addition in my book. Enjoy Crow Crew; until next time.
