Jeff Smith: Mighty Mace
Jeff Smith operated the conventions MACE and mini mace. When we were first announcing Davey Beauchamp’s Amazing Pulp Adventures, we offered tuckerisms as a prize in the convention auction. A tuckerism is when your name is used in a work of fiction. Jeff won and sat down with Davey Beauchamp and laid out Mighty Mace. The character immediately became part of the world of Sapphire City. We are proud to provide an updated version of Mighty Mace here. We hope you enjoy this character. Though we are sad that Jeff is no longer with us, but we are happy that we got to know him; we are definitely better for it.
Jeff Smith was a welcoming and profoundly influential person in gaming. Influential, not only for his individual accomplishments, but for the natural ease he had around gamers, old and new. From the first moment we met, he was a friend, and an ally in the world of table-top gaming. MACE was probably my favorite convention, which I have not attended for a few years. I think about the friends I made there with Scaldcrow Games and will truly miss this one. God bless you Jeff, you have meant so much to so many. I really hope that you recognized how important you were to us.

Later, we will include Mighty Mace’s sidekick Aegis Lad. After all, you can’t have one without the other.
